Former Accountant for Hulk Hogan Accused of Stealing Nearly $1 Million

Accountant Indicted for Embezzlement from Public Figures

Melicia Gauthreau, the former accountant for the late Hulk Hogan, has been indicted on six counts of wire fraud. She is accused of embezzling over $890,000 from various public figures.

The FBI conducted a detailed investigation into Gauthreau, suggesting she misappropriated millions from her company, Accounting Resources and Management Services, from 2017 to 2021. Interestingly, Hogan hired her for bookkeeping among other tasks during this timeframe, yet he has not been formally named as a victim, according to sources and reports.

The indictment outlines that Gauthreau was “the founder, president, and managing member of Accounting Resources and Management Services LLC,” and allegedly used her position to misappropriate funds from “public figures residing in the Central District of Florida.”

The Justice Department noted that Gauthreau could face forfeiture of $894,274.26, the proceeds from her alleged crimes. Furthermore, it’s stated that she had the authority to sign on customer bank accounts, enabling her to withdraw money without their knowledge or consent.

If found guilty, Gauthreau could face up to 20 years in federal prison for each count. The case will be handled by Assistant U.S. Attorney Merrilyn Hornemeyer.

Hogan, who passed away on July 24, 2025, at 71, suffered a heart attack at his residence in Clearwater Beach.
