Tiger Woods Returns to the U.S.
Tiger Woods has made his way back to America.
On Wednesday, he was spotted on the tarmac at Palm Beach International Airport, disembarking from his private jet that had flown in from Switzerland. Woods had been undergoing rehabilitation in Zurich following his arrest for drunk driving, as reported in photos shared with The Post.
The 50-year-old golfer was dressed casually in a black hat, a black vest, a long-sleeved shirt, gray shorts, and sunglasses. Notably, he was sporting a sleeve on his surgically repaired right leg, which had been injured in a car accident back in 2021.
Woods had traveled to Switzerland the previous month for what he described as “comprehensive inpatient treatment” after a crash near his home in Jupiter Island, Florida, in March. A judge had authorized his departure from the country at the request of Woods’ lawyers, who emphasized the need for treatment away from the public eye.
His attorney, Douglas Duncan, highlighted that the “recommendation for a foreign treatment facility” was due to Woods’ complex clinical situation, asserting that better care couldn’t be offered in the U.S. due to ongoing privacy invasions.
After spending 40 days in treatment, it was reported that Woods was receiving both physical and mental care at the rehabilitation center in Zurich.
A source mentioned that Woods had a pain management doctor assisting him with body pain, trying to avoid addictive opioids.
Woods had flipped his Range Rover SUV in late March in Florida, and police noted finding two hydrocodone pills on him at the time of the incident. He passed a breathalyzer test but declined to take a urine test.
This incident marks Woods’ fourth vehicle-related issue and his second arrest for driving under the influence.
