Cooper Flagg Confirms Relationship with Arianna Roberson
Cooper Flagg, the standout player for the Dallas Mavericks, wrapped up his season recently, but he’s still making headlines. On Thursday, he took to Instagram to publicly confirm his relationship with Arianna Roberson, a center for the Duke University women’s basketball team. The post featured a cute photo of the two sharing a kiss while enjoying their time in the Turks and Caicos Islands. Roberson even shared the image on her own Instagram, adding a couple of black heart emojis for emphasis.
They’ve been a bit open about their relationship, having also posted a TikTok together reflecting on their time spent over the holidays. The caption they chose? “Keep going.” It’s sweet, really.
Rumors about their romance began swirling when both posted pictures from the same resort, prompting fans to speculate that they might be vacationing together. Additionally, they were spotted together at a game in February, where Duke triumphed over Syracuse by a score of 101-64.
Both Flagg and Roberson were freshmen at Duke during the 2024-25 academic year. While Flagg led the Blue Devils to the Final Four, he later declared for the NBA Draft and got picked first overall.
Although the Mavericks had a rocky start in Flagg’s rookie year, he personally thrived on the court. He earned the NBA Rookie of the Year award, outperforming his former Duke teammate Conn Knuppel, who plays for the Charlotte Hornets. Flagg’s rookie statistics were impressive: 70 games played, averaging 21 points, 6.7 rebounds, 4.5 assists, and 1.2 steals.
Meanwhile, Roberson had her own share of moments at Duke, appearing in 33 games and averaging eight points per game with a shooting percentage of 41.6%. It’s worth noting that her older brother, Andre Roberson, had a seven-season stint in the NBA, mostly with the Oklahoma City Thunder.
