Angel Reese Makes a Fashion Statement in Atlanta
Angel Reese transformed the WNBA’s tunnel into something of a runway during her first home game in Atlanta.
Prior to taking on the Aces on Sunday, the Dream forward made quite an entrance at State Farm Arena. She wore an eye-catching black leather two-piece outfit featuring some metal hooks that really set it apart.
Reese paired her look with heeled black boots and classic black sunglasses, exuding confidence.
However, it wasn’t enough to turn the tide in her favor.
The former LSU standout had a tough game, scoring just nine points on only 1-of-8 shooting in 29 minutes during the Dream’s narrow 85-84 loss to the defending WNBA champions.
While she did manage to pull down eight rebounds and dish out three assists, she also committed eight of her team’s 13 turnovers, which is, well, pretty challenging.
After the final buzzer, she logged a plus-minus of minus-13.
Interestingly, Reese wasn’t alone; she was one of three starters for the Dream who failed to reach 15 points.
Alisha Gray led the Dream with 25 points.
The Aces, on the other hand, had A’ja Wilson and Chelsea Gray contributing significantly, scoring 20 and 21 points, respectively.
Sunday marked the Dream’s first loss of the season following victories over the Lynx and Wings, but it was certainly a notable low point for Reese with her new team.
Up until now, she had showcased a double-double in each game and maintained a shooting percentage of 50%. After being traded from the Sky during the offseason, expectations were high.
This trade seemed inevitable, especially after tensions escalated at the end of the 2025 season. Reese had previously voiced her frustrations, suggesting that some changes needed to happen. In September, she expressed the need for “great players” to make the team successful.
Reese articulated her thoughts quite openly: “I’m very vocal about what I need and what I want. I want to be here for my career, but if things don’t work out, I might have to go in a different direction and do what’s best for me. But while I’m here, I’m going to try to keep an open mind about what I have here and make the best of it.”
