Brock Lesnar’s Surprise Return to WWE
Brock Lesnar made a surprising comeback on Monday Night Raw, just a month after what seemed to be his retirement following a loss to Oba Femi.
Femi was preparing to host a weekly open challenge when Lesnar attacked him unexpectedly, igniting the crowd in Greensboro, North Carolina.
Lesnar caught Femi off guard with four powerful F-5 moves, and he couldn’t hide his satisfaction as Femi writhed in pain.
It was believed that Lesnar had officially stepped away from wrestling after his emotional moment at WrestleMania 42, where he appeared to be in tears while embracing his manager, Paul Heyman.
Heyman later humorously tweeted about Lesnar’s return, saying, “Oh, didn’t you forget that Brock Lesnar decided to do something about Oba Femi? I’m sorry. I think I got distracted.”
WWE Hall of Famer Booker T commented on the nature of wrestlers and retirement in an interview, noting, “Wrestlers, we never really retire… If someone comes to Brock Lesnar with the right number for one more match, I’m confident he can deliver.”
Heyman presented a contract for a rematch between Lesnar and Femi to Raw GM Adam Pearce, emphasizing that Lesnar’s name was already signed, only needing Femi’s approval.
Tribal Combat Planned for Clash in Italy
The episode of Monday Night Raw wrapped up with a dramatic confrontation between Roman Reigns and Jacob Fatu. Their exchange took an unexpected turn when Fatu entered the ring, confronting the Usos, Jey and Jimmy, who were hiding backstage.
While Jimmy tried to diffuse the situation, Jey charged in with a chair, suggesting that a skirmish was brewing. Suddenly, Reigns made his presence felt, leading to a chaotic altercation.
Amid the uproar, Pearce announced Fatu’s firing, but Fatu insisted on a “tribal combat” match against Reigns, a bout set for May 31st at The Clash in Italy, where high stakes for the World Heavyweight Championship await.
“Tribal battles” are traditional matches among bloodline factions intended to determine new leaders. Reigns has succeeded in his previous matches against significant contenders and will be looking to maintain his position against Fatu.
Feud Intensifies Between Seth Rollins and Bron Breaker
Seth Rollins showcased his conflict with Bron Breaker during Raw, arguing that Breaker couldn’t compete solo and roping in Austin Theory as an ally. Rollins acknowledged he was somewhat on his own but seemed to have some support from Street Profits member Angelo Dawkins.
While Rollins thanked Dawkins for his input and apologized for past actions, their upcoming match felt poised to bring significant tension to the event.
The intensity reached its height as Rollins fought Theory, resulting in a hard-fought victory by Rollins. However, things turned chaotic when Logan Paul got involved, leading to a scramble in the ring.
