Owner of San Diego's 'Trump House' battling for survival after violent assault

Incident Outside Controversial Escondido Home

A man well-known in Escondido for decorating his house with Trump flags and MAGA items is fighting for his life following a severe attack outside his home on Wednesday.

Residents have expressed their frustrations about the property on Buchanan Street online for years, mentioning the unusual displays, confrontational behavior, and an overwhelming number of MAGA decorations—even before the attack left the man in critical condition.

Video footage shows a police presence at the scene, with tape cordoning off the area.

When police arrived, they found one individual restrained by utility workers, while another lay on the ground with serious injuries.

According to comments from neighbors, it seems the house has faced significant hostility from the community.

“My friend lived down the street. Whenever we passed by, I felt compelled to shout at them,” one person shared in an online post.

Another commenter suggested that the homeowner might actually be breaking California law. They noted that any resident can file a complaint regarding campaign flags and signs, which shouldn’t be displayed more than 90 days after an election.

“California law. It’s simple. The more complaints, the better,” they asserted.

The victim was taken to a trauma center, where he remains in critical condition.

While authorities spoke to witnesses, blood was reportedly seen dripping from a nearby curb.

One suspect was taken into custody at the scene, as law enforcement began its investigation into the events at the so-called “House of Trump.”

The California Post has reached out to both the Escondido Police Department and the Escondido Fire Department for further details.
