Body falls from mortuary van onto LA street, graphic video reveals

Motorists in Southern California were left shocked after a video surfaced showing a body falling from the back of a morgue van at a crowded intersection in Bell Gardens.

The strange footage depicted a white van stopping with its rear door ajar, leading to a body landing on the road during transportation to a nearby mortuary.

As bystanders looked on in disbelief, a man was seen lifting the deceased body back into the van, closing the rear door afterward to ensure it was secure.

The video quickly gained traction on social media, with many observers criticizing the incident as “unprofessional.”

One eyewitness suggested that the driver worked for the funeral service Allen English & Estrada. However, owner Chris Mendez clarified to a local news outlet that their company typically does not handle body transport directly.

Mendez explained, “Most funeral homes, about 90%…we don’t do the transportation ourselves, so we hire a transportation company,” pointing to staffing challenges as a key reason.

He also mentioned that the footage in question might not be recent, possibly being several years old.

There’s still uncertainty around the authenticity of the video.

Despite the ambiguity, Mendez reported that his company received a surge of calls after the video circulated online, though he maintained that the van in the clip was not associated with them. He urged people to think carefully before sharing content without verifying its accuracy.
