Lawrence Taylor’s Health Update

Lawrence Taylor, the iconic former New York Giants linebacker, seems to have overcome some serious health issues.

After spending a few days in the hospital this past spring, Taylor is reportedly “doing much better,” according to his attorney, Mark Eiglash, who communicated this news on Friday.

“He feels better and is back on the golf course,” Eiglash mentioned. “While his athletic performance has suffered a bit post-hospitalization, he is genuinely thankful to be back engaging in the sport he loves.”

Taylor was hospitalized in late April due to a stomach-related illness. Eiglash indicated he remained at the medical facility for about two weeks before being discharged on May 5th.

Post-discharge, Eiglash highlighted Taylor’s gratitude towards the medical team for their excellent care and support. He emphasized, “Mr. Taylor genuinely appreciates the outpouring of love, support, and prayers from everyone.” This heartfelt acknowledgment, he noted, helped provide Taylor with strength during a challenging period.

At 67, Taylor played all 13 seasons of his NFL career with the Giants, during which he started 180 games. His accolades include two Super Bowl victories and eight All-Pro selections, in addition to three Defensive Player of the Year awards. Since retiring, he has picked up golf, and it appears not much can keep him away from the course for long.
