Kansas City Prepares for World Cup Influx

Kansas City, Kansas – With the FIFA World Cup on the horizon, millions of soccer fans are gearing up to travel across North America. Businesses in Kansas City are bracing for a wave of international visitors.

One well-known barbecue spot anticipates fans from far and wide to queue for their famous burnt ends, brisket, and the iconic Z-Man sandwich during game days.

Joe’s Kansas City Barbecue, nestled in a repurposed gas station, is a standout culinary destination in the area.

Collaboration between Seattle and Vancouver for World Cup Tourism

According to restaurant officials, the barbecue joint has become a “must stop” for travelers from across the country.

“We expect people to arrive, maybe get an Uber, stash their bags behind the counter, and dive into some delicious food,” said Victor Brummel, the general manager.

Visitors have consistently dubbed it a key attraction whenever they come to Kansas City.

The restaurant is preparing for what could be one of the busiest times in its history.

“Today, we’re cooking 185 ribs,” one employee mentioned during a behind-the-scenes tour. “For the World Cup, we will likely crank it up to 400 ribs at a time.”

Joe’s Kansas City Barbecue is also extending its hours to include Sundays throughout the tournament.

“Before this, we would only open on Sundays for special events like the Super Bowl,” Brummel added.

Concerns over Automatic Tips Amid Increase in Tourist Traffic

Plans are underway to hire more staff and even open a second restaurant across the street before the tournament begins.

Customers who have dined there seem to think it’s essential for anyone visiting Kansas City.

World Cup to Kick Off in Mexico City

The tournament starts in Mexico City on June 11, featuring matches in 16 cities across the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

This World Cup boasts the largest format ever, with 48 teams competing over 104 games.
