Carter Seeks to Deescalate Tension with Dart

Abdul Carter is eager to put an end to the ongoing discussion regarding him and his teammate, Jackson Dart. On Saturday morning, Carter expressed his discontent with Dart’s decision to introduce President Trump at a rally in upstate New York the previous day, clarifying that there is no ill will between him and the quarterback.

“JD6 and I are good!” said Carter, who is 22 years old, in a post on X. “We talked as men earlier. Let the stories be.” His comments followed Dart’s earlier critique of Carter’s participation in the rally, in which Dart remarked he initially thought it was generated by AI.

Carter responded via social media, “I thought this was AI, but it’s just part of our lives.” It all unfolded at Rockland Community College in Suffern, where Dart took the stage to introduce Trump. He began his speech by leading the crowd in a “Go Big Blue” chant, emphasizing his enthusiasm.

“What an honor, what an honor to be here,” Dart proclaimed before introducing the president, who, in turn, praised Dart’s potential, suggesting he could become a future Hall of Famer.

In light of speculation from Boston Globe reporter Ben Bolin about potential locker room tension stemming from Dart’s appearance at the rally, Giants right tackle Jermaine El-Emuner assured fans on X that “the locker room is fine.”

The Giants drafted both Carter and Dart in the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft, hoping they’ll turn into foundational players for their franchise. Dart enjoyed a remarkable rookie season, accumulating 2,272 passing yards and 15 touchdowns over 14 games. Meanwhile, Carter rebounded from a rocky start, finishing his inaugural season with 43 tackles, four sacks, and two fumble recoveries.
