A notable appearance was made by LeBron James, Travis Kelce, and Taylor Swift.
The superstar from the Lakers and the Cavaliers legend sent a message to the famous couple on Instagram while they enjoyed Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Finals between Cleveland and the Knicks on Saturday night at Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse.
Kelce donned the LeBron 7 MVP sneakers from his Nike collection, which added to the admiration for the couple.
James, who spent 11 seasons with Cleveland, shared a photo of the Kansas City tight end alongside the 14-time Grammy winner, posting it to his Instagram Stories with a salute and a crown emoji.
The Cavaliers fell to the Knicks, losing 121-108 and trailing 3-0 in the series, putting them one game away from elimination from the NBA Finals.
Kelce, an Ohio native who played college football in Cincinnati, became the center of attention for more than just his athletic presence after he entertained fans by chugging beer. Swift was spotted covering her face in laughter during the moment.
Despite James’ impressive play, the Knicks maintained the lead throughout the game, leaving the Cavs unable to rally back. In 2023, James hinted at Kelce taking over as Ohio’s most iconic athlete amid the buzz surrounding his relationship with Swift.
Currently a free agent, James was part of the last Cavaliers team to reach the Eastern Conference Finals in 2017-18, where they lost in the Finals for the fourth time against the Warriors.
The NBA’s all-time leading scorer played a crucial role in the Cavaliers’ comeback from a 3-1 series deficit in 2016, securing the franchise’s only championship against Golden State in seven games. There’s still speculation about whether he might finish his career back in Cleveland.
Meanwhile, Kelce is no stranger to championships, having claimed three Super Bowl titles with the Chiefs. He returned to Kansas City this offseason on a one-year deal amid retirement speculation after two challenging seasons. The Chiefs are also hopeful that quarterback Patrick Mahomes will be back in action for Week 1 after his injury last December.
But, perhaps the biggest news is the engagement ring Swift received in August, as the couple plans to tie the knot in New York City on July 3.
