Reports indicate that the 15-time major champion’s private jet is headed back to Switzerland, likely to continue his rehabilitation process. This comes after he was seen arriving in Florida earlier this month.
According to sources, Woods’ Gulfstream V departed from Witham Field in Stuart, Florida on Saturday evening and landed in Switzerland on Sunday.
Woods was spotted disembarking from a private plane at Palm Beach International Airport on May 13. Initially, it seemed his return to the U.S. marked the conclusion of his overseas treatment, but that doesn’t appear to be the case now.
The reason for his brief trip back is somewhat unclear. Interestingly, it coincides with news from Vanessa Trump, Donald Trump’s former daughter-in-law and his girlfriend, who recently announced her breast cancer diagnosis.
Vanessa shared an emotional message on social media, expressing that Woods has been her source of strength during this challenging time. She posted a picture on her Instagram Stories saying, “My strength through everything! My family and the people closest to me.”
Woods and Vanessa confirmed their relationship in March 2025.
Woods was involved in a car accident on March 27 while in Jupiter Island, Florida, which resulted in charges of DUI with property damage and refusal to submit to a legal test.
Despite the charges, Woods had a 0.00 blood alcohol level on the samples taken, but he declined to take a urine test, leading to his charge for refusal.
Just four days post-accident, Woods announced he would pause his golf career to “receive treatment and focus on his health.”
He was cleared to travel abroad on April 1 for “comprehensive hospital treatment.” Since then, Woods hasn’t played competitively since the 2024 British Open, the last tournament he qualified for being the Masters at Augusta National that same year.
