Report: AOC from the Far-Left Might Be Considering a 2028 Presidential Campaign

Ocasio-Cortez Signals Potential Presidential Ambitions

According to a report from Axios, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) may be gearing up for a presidential run in the future. However, she insists that no final decision has been made yet. Ocasio-Cortez has been traveling across the country to engage voters on various issues and has thrown her support behind multiple campaigns.

The article elaborates on her recent activities and future plans. Ocasio-Cortez joined Georgia Senator Raphael Warnock at Atlanta’s historic Ebenezer Baptist Church, an event where visiting politicians don’t always get the chance to speak—something that was noted during a past visit from former Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg, who didn’t have the opportunity to address the congregation.

This week, she will be heading to Missoula, Montana, to support House candidate Sam Forstag, who has a background as a smokejumper and union leader. Forstag previously spoke at a rally with Ocasio-Cortez and Bernie Sanders last year.

Sources close to her have indicated that while she is contemplating a Senate run in 2028, her thoughts on pursuing the presidency are still unclear.

This news comes amid reports that some far-left Democrats are encouraging her to consider a presidential run for 2028. Ocasio-Cortez, however, has expressed that her aspirations extend beyond merely holding a political office.

In an interview with Democratic strategist David Axelrod, she reflected on a recent op-ed by Jeff Bezos in the Washington Post. She pointed out a comment that implied a cautionary note: “If you want this job, you’ve just stepped out of line. We want you to know where the real power lies.” Ocasio-Cortez added, amusingly, that there’s an assumption surrounding her ambitions.

“They think my ambition is a title or a seat. My ambition is to change this country. Titles may come and go, but ideals like single-payer healthcare, living wages, and workers’ rights are lasting.”

On another note, Ocasio-Cortez faced criticism from some Southerners for her remarks suggesting northern leftists “go south” during a rally in Montgomery, Alabama. One critic even claimed she had “lost her mind,” interpreting her words as a threat.
