Man Arrested at Trump Doral National Golf Club
Authorities apprehended an individual for resisting arrest and disorderly conduct after he had an altercation with a Secret Service agent at President Donald Trump’s Doral National Golf Club.
With the first half of the 2027 PGA Tour schedule now out, it looks like the revamped Florida Swing is delivering some good news, particularly for Trump National Doral. In 2026, the PGA Tour will return to the Blue Monster course with a new event, the Cadillac Championship, which will be the first tour event hosted at Trump-owned property since 2016.
This year’s Cadillac Championship took place at the end of April, marking the start of two consecutive events leading up to the PGA Championship. Interestingly, some notable players like Rory McIlroy, Matthew Fitzpatrick, and Ludwig Aberg weren’t in attendance at that tournament. One could argue that it’s a smart move to skip three weeks of play, like he did by opting out of the Cadillac Championship to prepare for the PGA Championship the following week.
The 2026 Cadillac Championship faced challenges due to scheduling conflicts, but interest for next year’s event is expected to increase among players and spectators. According to reports, the 2027 Cadillac Championship is set for the first week of March and will function as a warm-up for The Players at TPC Sawgrass.
In recent years, the Arnold Palmer Invitational has been traditionally held the week before The Players, but starting in 2027, it will move to the week following The Players. This change could mean some players may choose to skip Arnold Palmer’s event after a string of tough competitions, especially with the Masters looming on the horizon.
