Jill Biden’s Concerns About Joe Biden’s Debate Performance
In a recent interview with CBS News, former First Lady Jill Biden expressed her fears that her husband, former President Joe Biden, may have experienced a stroke during a troubling performance in the 2024 debate.
During this debate against Donald Trump in June 2024, Biden struggled with his answers and seemed disoriented. This led to calls from some Democrats for him to step back from the presidential race. Ultimately, Biden chose to withdraw, paving the way for former Vice President Kamala Harris to enter the contest.
“It was scary. I’ve never seen anything like Joe before or since. Never,” Jill Biden shared during the interview.
She recounted her thoughts as she watched him, stating, “As I watched it, I thought, ‘Oh my God, he’s having a stroke.’ And it scared me to death.”
The full interview is set to air soon, serving as a lead-up to her memoir, titled “View from the East Building,” which is scheduled for release on June 2nd. There are also reports that Joe Biden is working on his own memoir.
Meanwhile, Kamala Harris has penned a book that examines her experiences during her time in the White House and her 2024 campaign. Titled “107 Days,” it reflects her perspective on the reasons behind her campaign’s failure, highlighting that she felt she could have used more time for her candidacy.
In another related development, leaks from a Democratic National Committee (DNC) review on Harris’ presidential run became public on Thursday. The review was criticized for being incomplete and lacking essential themes relevant to the election, such as women’s sports and inflation.
DNC Chairman Ken Martin addressed the report’s inadequacies, stating that it was not ready for public consumption. He expressed that it did not meet his standards, nor would it meet those of the public. He has since released the document in its original form, complete with his annotations regarding unverifiable claims.
