There’s growing concern in Hollywood regarding Spencer Pratt. Liz Wheeler, who hosts a show on Blaze TV, suggests that this anxiety might point to significant progress in his campaign for mayor of Los Angeles.
“Democrats are clearly worried about Pratt’s approach. Coupled with his recent fundraising success—ten times more than Karen Bass—it’s noteworthy,” Wheeler comments.
In just the past month, Pratt has raised a staggering $2.72 million. In contrast, Mayor Bass (D) only managed to gather $283,000 during the same period.
“The momentum is shifting towards Pratt. His financial backing, along with a solid political strategy, has given Democrats a reason to reconsider their options,” Wheeler adds.
In light of this, the Democrats, feeling threatened, are mobilizing influential Hollywood voices.
“Hollywood has been a key instrument for the Democratic Party,” she mentions, referencing “disturbing videos” that various celebrities produced during the COVID pandemic.
Wheeler points out that Democrats rely heavily on celebrity influence. She recalls the Kamala Harris campaign, showcasing a clip of reality star Lisa Rinna expressing reluctance about a “reality star” becoming mayor.
“I’ve been there. I wouldn’t want to do it again,” Rinna said. “I’m grounded in reality. You don’t want me as mayor… Let’s have someone who’s an actual mayor, like the mayor of San Jose or someone similar. I’m not even sure.”
“This reflects what Democrats perceive as their major leverage,” Wheeler notes. “It seems desperate.”
Drew Carey also voiced his opinions on Pratt via social media, urging voters to reconsider supporting him. “I get the frustration, but we must support someone capable rather than a person who lacks direction,” Carey wrote.
Pratt responded in a post, questioning why two comedians, who have often criticized him, are linked to the ‘Epstein Files’ and shared a screenshot mentioning Carey.
“What’s going on? Democrats are panicking. They can’t run on any platform or even discuss Karen Bass’ performance,” Wheeler argues.
“With only a week until the election, they resort to using celebrities to sway public opinion,” she added.
