Just a few days before tying the knot with Jeff Greenstein, Paulina Porizkova finds herself evicted from her home of six years.
During a recent podcast episode of “Twenty Good Summers,” the couple candidly discussed the ongoing housing challenges and shared their thoughts on beginning anew in their 60s. They got engaged in July 2025.
“Both of us are over 60 and trying to start fresh,” Porizkova shared. “I’m moving out of an apartment that means a lot to me, a place that has provided safety and allowed me to grow.”
She lamented the situation, explaining, “It’s frustrating because despite being a great tenant for six years, my landlord didn’t want to renew the lease. I pleaded, but to no avail. Now, we have to vacate just four days before our wedding in Italy. It’s not ideal. And when we return, we won’t have anywhere to go.”
Interestingly, despite the unexpected upheaval, Porizkova noted that she and her fiancé are relatively fortunate. “We have options,” she said. “I own a country house with my sons, so we might move a bit further from New York City. Jeff’s place in L.A. is on the market, but I can stay there temporarily.”
Greenstein added, “I guess you could say it’s a mix of good and bad. We’re returning to our old lives, yet starting something new. It’s just…not what we anticipated.”
The couple made their situation public via social media earlier in the week. They humorously noted, “Friends, we’re being kicked out of our apartment four days before our wedding. Thanks, inconsiderate landlord! This prompted us to discuss moving in our latest podcast episode; what it means to blend lives, tastes, and the whirlwind of emotions that come with it.”
Porizkova, who was married to Ric Ocasek for nearly three decades before their divorce in 2018, reflected on vulnerability in her recent social media posts. “I decided to be open about my feelings,” she explained after sharing tears on the anniversary of her late husband’s passing. “There’s so much pressure to seem strong, but that doesn’t always reflect reality.”
In the end, one can’t help but wonder how this new chapter will unfold for them.
