Carville: Talarico Needs to Address Past Odd Comments

James Talarico, a Democrat, Gave an Unusual Prayer to Various Gods: 'In Your Many Names We Pray'

Democratic Strategist’s Advice for Talarico

James Carville, a Democratic strategist, suggested that Texas U.S. Senator James Talarico needs to confront his past controversial remarks if he hopes to succeed in the Senate race.

“I think Talarico is better than Shoot,” Carville stated during Wednesday’s episode of Politics War Room, alongside co-host Al Hunt.

Hunt chimed in, saying Talarico should be “smart” and “aggressive,” noting that “Republicans are already running ads linking him to some bizarre statements.”

“Some of it is true. He’s got to handle it,” Carville added. To which Hunt responded, “Yeah, he mentioned six genders. Well, I’m not sure if he actually said that, but he’d better clarify now.”

Talarico is currently challenging Republican Attorney General Ken Paxton. He’s previously voiced support for “transgender children,” remarked that God is “non-binary,” and asserted that “modern science” recognizes six genders, as reported by Breitbart News.

He recently remarked that the Bible is “silent about abortion,” despite identifying as a Christian and being a Presbyterian seminarian.

The Rev. Franklin Graham criticized Talarico for his claims regarding God’s stance on abortion, stating that Talarico is fundamentally mistaken.

Graham posted on social media: “Texas Senate candidate James Talarico couldn’t be more wrong. The Bible is not silent on abortion. Saying so is a complete falsehood. God commands us not to kill (Exodus 20:13). Abortion is the taking of life, considered murder. The Bible emphasizes the value of human life, stating in Jeremiah 1:5, ‘Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; before you were born I set you apart…’. In 2021, this same Democratic candidate opposed a bill to ban men from competing in women’s sports, declaring, ‘God is non-binary.’ Don’t fall for these deceptive politicians who spread lies.”

Additionally, Talarico has referred to women in a peculiar manner, calling one his “neighbor with the womb,” according to Breitbart News.

Hannah Knudsen from Breitbart noted, “It’s not clear how progressive Democrats would label a woman who has had a hysterectomy. It’s also uncertain how this aligns with the views of his far-left supporters, who might argue that men without a womb can identify as women. For instance, many Democrats view transgender Rep. Sarah McBride (D-Delaware), a biological male formerly known as Tim, as a woman.”
