Albino buffalo called 'Donald Trump' attracts visitors to zoo in Bangladesh

Buffalo in Bangladesh Draws Attention for Its Trump-like Features

A buffalo with a unique hairstyle has captivated many due to its resemblance to former President Donald Trump.

This rare albino buffalo, dubbed “Donald Trump,” has become a popular attraction at Bangladesh’s national zoo, thanks to its blond hair, which many observers feel echoes the president’s distinctive look.

The buzz began when a local farmer first pointed out the similarity. Videos of the pale, horned buffalo quickly went viral on social media, prompting crowds to flock to the farm situated near Dhaka where it was being kept.

Originally, the buffalo was set to be sold and slaughtered during Eid al-Adha, an Islamic festival that involves sacrifice. However, government officials intervened and relocated the animal to the national zoo in the capital.

Since its arrival, the buffalo has drawn large crowds and even sparked debate over its controversial nickname.

Some visitors have been surprisingly receptive to the comparison. Mohamed Nasim, a student from Dhaka, noted, “He looks like Donald Trump in his eyes, hairstyle, and skin color.” He went on to suggest that, similar to Trump, the buffalo now enjoys considerable attention and admiration.

Local media indicated that the exhibit initially bore a sign labeling the buffalo as “Donald Trump,” but it was later taken down.

While some find the nickname amusing, others feel it’s inappropriate to associate such a prominent figure’s name with an animal. Local resident Mohammad Joynal Adin expressed discomfort, stating, “It is definitely wrong to give livestock the name of one of the most influential leaders in the world.” Interestingly, Adin still visited the zoo to see the buffalo for himself, acknowledging the controversy while also viewing it as somewhat disrespectful.

In a twist, the zoo’s curator has been dismissed, although officials haven’t provided details on the reasons behind the decision. As the buffalo’s fame continues to grow, visitors remain captivated, capturing moments with their cameras as they observe the unique creature, sometimes questioning the ethics of its famous name.
