British Prime Minister Keir Starmer Seems More Worried About Musk's Tweets Than the Nowak Murder

Starmer Focuses on Musk’s Influence Amidst National Tragedy

British Prime Minister Keir Starmer seems more worried about Elon Musk’s impact on British politics than about a heartbreaking murder case involving a young white boy.

During an interview in Yorkshire on Thursday, Starmer accused Musk of fueling division in British politics. He urged the citizens to “reclaim our national identity” in light of recent murders that have garnered international attention.

“Musk, enough already. There’s been interference in our politics lately, and it’s creating unnecessary divisiveness. That’s not the Britain we know,” Starmer declared.

The Prime Minister asserted, “In the UK, we pride ourselves on being reasonable and tolerant. When something as tragic as Henry’s death occurs, we respond in a calm manner, just as his family has always done.”

Critics on social media have pointed out that Starmer appears to prioritize Musk’s online activity over the real-life consequences of violence.

In December 2025, 18-year-old Henry Nowak was murdered by Vikram Digwa after a racial altercation escalated. Disturbingly, police handcuffed Nowak as he lay bleeding, which sparked public outrage and protests in the UK following the release of body camera footage.

Digwa was sentenced to a minimum of 21 years in prison on June 1. Many, including Musk, have scrutinized the police’s handling of the situation, highlighting perceived biases in their treatment of white individuals.

In recent days, Musk has been vocal about Nowak’s murder, sharing over 110 posts that delve into claims of mistreatment by police towards white people, according to reports.

Starmer has advocated for a national dialogue in response to the tragedy, emphasizing the importance of learning from such incidents. He echoed the Nowak family’s plea for Henry’s death not to be exploited to stir up further division.

A tense exchange took place in Parliament between Starmer and Nigel Farage, the leader of the Reform UK Party, over what Farage called the country’s “two-tier” policing system. The term refers to perceived disparities in how different racial groups are policed, an issue that has been heightened in light of recent protests.

Musk has not held back in his criticism of Starmer, labeling him a “national embarrassment” and accusing him of complicity regarding ongoing issues with grooming gangs. Neither the Prime Minister’s Office nor Musk has responded to requests for comment, leaving the discourse ongoing and charged.
