Podcaster Criticizes Liberals for Smear Campaign Against Graham Platner
A left-leaning podcaster is expressing strong frustration towards liberals who he claims are perpetuating a smear campaign against U.S. Senate candidate Graham Platner (D-Maine).
In a recent video, Kyle Krinsky, who hosts various YouTube programs, unleashed his anger at liberals upset over the controversy surrounding Platner, calling them unflattering names like “traitors” and “tools of the right.” He went on to label former President Donald Trump with harsh accusations, describing him as a “fascist war criminal, pedophile rapist.”
Krinsky remarked:
The silver lining here is that most people can see through this and understand what’s really happening. Honestly, the Republicans are going to stick to their playbook. They’ll seize on the worst aspects of this situation, treating it as if it originated from actual Republican operatives. That’s their standard modus operandi. But if you consider yourself a liberal and are participating in this smear campaign, let me be clear: you’re betraying the cause and actually enabling MAGA. Do you get that? You’re being used as a pawn for a fascist war criminal, pedophile rapist named Donald Trump.
If you see yourself as a liberal and are getting worked up about Graham Platner based on this smear, you’re, well… misguided and likely a tool of the right, whether you realize it or not. And honestly, I’d rather see Susan Collins win than support any so-called leftist at this point.
His remarks came shortly after *Breitbart News* reported on profiles of multiple women who had previous relationships with Platner, detailing allegations of disturbing behavior.
One account from Lindsay Fifield, who dated Platner from 2013 to 2015, stated that while he discussed violence in troubling ways, she clarified that he never physically assaulted her. However, she recounted instances of alarming comments he made, including a shocking claim about how he would react to a break-in.
He once said, ‘If anyone breaks in here, I’m going to rape them,’ she told the outlet.
She described an incident in which Platner allegedly twisted her arm and forced her into a bedroom during an argument, locking the door and insisting she remain there until he “calmed down.”
In a social media post, Fifield expressed her frustrations, stating, “Anyone who has gotten out of a relationship with a narcissistic abuser knows it’s not clean or easy.” She reflected on how many times she had tried to downplay Platner’s controlling behavior, even mentioning that he has a Nazi tattoo.
Yet, Krinsky dismissed the *Times* article as “one of the most pathetic slurs” he has encountered.
He argued that the alleged wrongdoing merely amounted to “disturbing behavior” linked to previous relationships and rejected the significance of the claims. He also expressed that, in his view, Platner’s biggest fault was associating with someone as reprehensible as a Republican.
Platner has maintained that the accusations leveled against him are false.
Recent reports indicate that Platner’s polling numbers have been slipping ahead of the upcoming presidential election.
