Bigfoot Witness Todd Nice Discusses Ohio Sighting

Todd Nice, who founded the American Primate Conservation Society, recently opened up about why he believes in Bigfoot after spotting the creature in Ohio. He recounted some strange sounds and massive footprints reported by locals. His belief solidified during military exercises back in 1993 when he had a firsthand encounter with something he couldn’t easily explain. Nice characterized the creature as notably large and athletic.

Interestingly, it’s not just remote forests where people claim to have seen Bigfoot—there are recent reports of sightings near a beach close to a lighthouse at dusk. It seems like no one managed to capture a photo of this elusive creature, and perhaps that’s understandable given the circumstances. Visibility was poor when two witnesses, along with a dog, caught sight of a large silhouette. One even described it as resembling a “headless lumberjack.” How peculiar, right?

This sighting was reported by a woman named Diane, who was visiting Paradise, Michigan, with her sister Denise. They were enjoying a sightseeing trip in May when they had a curious encounter. Along with them was their Doberman, dubbed “Snoop Dogg,” who had shown signs of distress the previous day at Barbs Beach. It’s strange—dogs usually aren’t easily spooked, so Diane thought there must’ve been some kind of bear or wolf nearby.

Then, as dusk approached on May 19, the sisters noticed a tall black figure by a driftwood pile along the Whitefish Lighthouse coast. Holding a flashlight, they directed its beam toward the figure, which appeared to be crouching down. Quite suspenseful, wouldn’t you say?

The dog was seemingly on high alert, leading the sisters back toward the lighthouse. In that moment, they decided to turn and flee. This area, known for other alleged sightings, attracted the attention of BFRO investigators who conducted searches nearby after the sisters reported their experience.

There was quite a bit of police activity, employing helicopters and dog teams, across a four-mile stretch of forest, which possibly could have caused whatever was there to move along. It raises a question—did the sisters catch a glimpse of Bigfoot or was it merely a shadowy figure resembling a headless lumberjack? Let’s hear your thoughts. If you have a Bigfoot story of your own, feel free to reach out.
