John Doyle: How 'homophobia' turned into a tool to silence dissent and make radical gender ideology accepted

A notable campaign promoting LGBTQ views was not really about changing opinions but rather about making dissent socially unacceptable.

John Doyle, a host on Blaze TV, suggested that Hollywood and media have been influential in convincing Americans that being against homosexuality signals a hidden same-sex attraction, thus creating a strong social stigma against opposing views.

“To be considered homophobic is to be thought of as secretly gay,” Doyle pointed out. He referred to media examples, particularly “American Beauty,” which features a masculine character who expresses disdain for gay men but ultimately reveals he is gay.

In “American Beauty,” for instance, the character’s intolerance serves as a form of psychological commentary, indicating how even offensive ideas can be turned back on critics. Doyle noted that this kind of propaganda discourages people from voicing their opposition to homosexuality.

“Essentially, they built up their own power while painting their detractors as both wicked and cowardly for not admitting to what they supposedly are,” he remarked.

As Americans began to feel that disagreeing could label them as gay, the LGBTQ community achieved significant milestones like the right to marry. Eventually, this led to clearer influences on children regarding sexual identity, framed as progress.

Doyle criticized this as “growth for the sake of growth,” comparing it to “tumor ideology.”

“The movement started promoting things like transgender transitions and drag shows for children only after legal protections were established. Why target kids specifically?” he questioned.

“Maybe it has something to do with the idea that these traits aren’t necessarily innate? Perhaps they focus on those most impressionable during their early development. Or maybe it feels like a form of vampirism,” he added.
