Cardi B ignores MSG bag policy to display her $7,000 Chanel handbag

Sparkling Fashion at the NBA Finals

It seems there are different rules for different people—take Cardi B, for instance. The rapper joined the crowd at Game 3 of the NBA Finals between the New York Knicks and the San Antonio Spurs. She shared a glimpse of her $7,000 Chanel purse on Instagram while seated in the celebrity section.

This drew attention because, well, there are strict no-bag policies in place for safety, particularly due to President Trump’s attendance. But Cardi wasn’t alone in showcasing high fashion. The scene at Madison Square Garden was buzzing with style almost as much as with basketball excitement.

Take Spike Lee, for example. He wore a Knicks jersey signed by none other than Pope Leo, and then there’s Jay-Z, sporting a designer black jersey priced at $1,110. Fashion at the game was hard to miss!

Superfan Timothée Chalamet was also present, decked out in Knicks orange from head to toe. Cardi B, for her halftime performance, slipped into a form-fitting gray corset and leggings. She had just given her social media followers a peek of her prized handbag.

Meanwhile, Jordyn Woods, a well-known figure in sports, attended with a custom top fashioned from vintage Knicks T-shirts and jerseys. Despite needing to leave her “bougie bag” at home to comply with the rules, she seemed to command attention nonetheless.

Woods also attracted notice with her unique shoes, dubbed “Limited Edition Stunt Sandals ‘Summer Citrus.’” I mean, who doesn’t love a cute footwear story at a sports event?

Chalamet finished off his outfit with Timberland boots, looking as fashionable as ever in his choice from Chrome Hearts. In the crowd, familiar faces like DJ Khaled and Fat Joe mingled with stars from “Law & Order.” Yes, it was a star-studded affair with comedians like Tracy Morgan and Chris Rock adding to the atmosphere.

Others like Derek Jeter and John McEnroe also joined in, making for an impressive turnout. Ben Stiller and Christine Taylor cheered for the Knicks while seated in the celebrity section. You can practically feel the excitement just reading about it.

Daniel Becker, a local artist, created a viral hand-painted leather jacket that was worn by Jalen Brunson’s wife. Becker mentioned that the celebrity vibe at Madison Square Garden feels almost like a fashion runway now. “People are watching the Knicks, including those who might not even follow sports, all for the fashion,” he noted.

“New York City feels electric right now,” he added. “Anyone who loves fashion wouldn’t want to miss Game 4.”
