Dez Bryant Reacts to Knicks Fans Blaming Trump for Game Loss

Former Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant seemed to take pleasure in the disappointment of New York Knicks fans, many of whom pointed fingers at President Donald Trump following their Game 3 defeat.

The San Antonio Spurs edged out the Knicks with a score of 115-111 in a lively arena that included Trump among the spectators.

New York struggled, recording 13 turnovers and hitting 45 percent of their shots, while the Spurs performed slightly better at 46 percent and committed only eight turnovers.

Despite this, some Knicks supporters still blamed Trump for the outcome, curiously overlooking that New York City Mayor Zoran Mamdani was also present.

Bryant took to X to comment, “That’s why Knicks fans hate President Trump!”

His presence stirred quite a reaction from the crowd at Madison Square Garden, standing in contrast to how he was received during the College Football National Championship in Florida earlier this year.

Additionally, Bryant defended himself against critics who labeled him a Trump supporter, saying, “Whatever your personal issues with Trump…IDGAF! Hit him in the face with concrete if it makes you feel any better!”

He further remarked, “With all due respect…I don’t spend my time focused on politics…I don’t know what he deserves!”

On a different note, Knicks head coach Mike Brown raised concerns about the game’s officiating, particularly the disparity in free throws—32 attempts for the Spurs compared to just 22 for the Knicks.

Brown acknowledged the Spurs’ skill, stating, “First of all, I would like to make something clear. Coach Mitch Johnson and the Spurs. They won the game tonight. They came and dominated the game.” However, he expressed disbelief at the free throw disparity, commenting, “I never expected to be in the NBA Finals and see one team get 24 free throw attempts in the second half compared to the other team’s eight.”
