Zac Brown Defends Performance at UFC Freedom 250
Country music artist Zac Brown has expressed support for his upcoming performance at the UFC Freedom 250 event, which is set to take place at the White House. Known as the frontman of the Zac Brown Band, he mentioned in an interview that he will be singing the national anthem alongside the Marine Band this Sunday.
During the interview, he clarified that he does not have any political reservations about performing at the White House under President Trump. “Hey, I’m here for the military, dude,” he stated. “This is about honoring America for me, not politics.” Brown emphasized his love for the country and those who have made sacrifices to realize the American dream. He believes that hard work and making the right choices are key for everyone in the U.S.
With an estimated 8,000 military personnel expected to attend, Brown mentioned he feels “honored” to take part in this significant event. “I’m really looking forward to this weekend,” he said. “To be a part of American history with the first sporting event held on the White House lawn is truly an honor.”
Preparations for the UFC bout have been ongoing for weeks, including setting up a large steel arch on the South Lawn. This event, which coincides with Flag Day, marks the 250th anniversary of America’s founding, as well as President Trump’s 80th birthday.
However, not everyone is pleased. A lawsuit was filed by two Virginia residents claiming the event will disrupt the area around the White House and National Mall. They described the venue as “horrible.”
Fox News Digital has attempted to reach out to both the White House and UFC for comments regarding the situation.
