Sophia Bush Advocates Political Violence on The View

Actress and activist Sophia Bush voiced strong opinions during her appearance on ABC’s daytime talk show, The View, asserting that she would “punch them in the mouth” if anyone disagreed with her. The actress, who stands at 5-foot-4 and weighs 140 pounds, indicated she was ready to “get into the trenches” with her political adversaries, emphasizing, “we must join the fight.”

In a sharp critique of former First Lady Michelle Obama, she suggested that Obama’s famous phrase, “When they go low, we go high,” was misguided. Bush pointed out that Obama had previously expressed a lack of pride in being American.

Bush claimed that the left should not retreat into comfortable circles but must engage in public disputes. She warned, “If we don’t get into some of these spaces, we will leave a vacuum where the worst misinformation, racism, and sexism flourish.” While expressing respect for Michelle Obama, she added that her upbringing in a lower-class environment shaped her perspective, hinting that sometimes confronting opposition might mean getting down and dirty. “If you want to go down, meet us in the gutter; we must join the fight,” she declared.

“We’ve been classy for too long, and now I’m coming at you to punch you in the mouth,” she passionately insisted.

It’s worth noting that the left has often shunned what they call “class” in political discourse, labeling every Republican president since Reagan with derogatory terms. For decades, they have accused Republicans of neglecting environmental issues and social welfare, leading to consistent unrest and, at times, violence. The association of the left with political terrorism has been prevalent in American history.

Interestingly, Whoopi Goldberg offered a contrasting viewpoint on the show, advising Bush that resorting to violent actions could backfire on liberals. She suggested that laughter toward opponents might be a more effective approach than aggression.
