Trump Announces Military Action Against Torren de Aragua Leader

On Friday night, former President Donald Trump revealed that the U.S. Southern Command carried out a “rapid and deadly kinetic attack” that resulted in the death of Niño Guerrero, the infamous leader of Torren de Aragua. This group has been designated a foreign terrorist organization by the U.S. State Department.

In a statement shared on Truth Social, Trump criticized President Joe Biden, stating, “Before I returned to office, Joe Biden opened our southern border to millions of illegal criminals and allowed this foreign military to rape, injure, and kill American citizens with total impunity.” He emphasized his commitment to expelling these individuals from the country and bringing justice to the families of victims like 12-year-old Jocelyn Nangaray and 22-year-old Laken Riley, along with many others.

Trump said that the military’s recent actions served as “vengeance on them, their families, and their loved ones.” He also pointed out that at the start of his administration, he fulfilled his promise to label Torren de Aragua as a foreign terrorist organization. He mentioned having deported thousands of criminals and committing to a fight against cartels that have terrorized Americans for years, noting that previous leaders left the nation vulnerable.

He further stated, “This action is closely coordinated with our friends in Venezuela, and we are cooperating very well. As a result, the terrorists of Torren de Aragua no longer have a safe haven in Venezuela or elsewhere. Under my leadership, we will find these heinous murderers and drug traffickers wherever they belong and send them to the depths of hell where they belong.”
