Fans Express Concerns Over Dutch Team’s Orange Kits

Fans have voiced their opinions regarding the bright orange uniforms of the Netherlands at the World Cup.

In their opening match against Japan on Sunday, while the game ended in a draw, it was the uniforms that sparked the most chatter. Many online users noted that the fluorescent orange shade made it hard to see the black names and numbers on the kits.

One fan humorously remarked, “This shade of Dutch kit is a level of orange I’ve never seen before. It’s like they invented a new color.”

Another commented, “Netherlands’ uniforms have never been so orange. It’s honestly hurting my eyes already.”

An additional fan lamented, “Wow, that Dutch kit is really orange! My TV is struggling to keep up.”

Some others shared similar feelings, questioning, “Is it just me, or does the Dutch uniform look so radioactive that it’s painful to watch?”

Orange is indeed closely tied to the Netherlands, being the national color and symbolizing the royal family, the House of Orange-Nassau.

This year’s Nike home kit showcases a completely orange design, with only the black numbers and a few small details breaking up the dominant hue. The shirt, pants, and socks all share this striking orange.

In their first Group F match of the tournament, the Netherlands faced Japan, leading twice and ultimately ending in a 2-2 draw. This result marked the first time in World Cup history that the team failed to win after taking the lead two times. Nevertheless, they continue their impressive streak in the group stage, extending their unbeaten record to 17 matches, which is currently a record.
