Men Charged in Disturbing Kidnapping Incident at Florida Resort

Six men have been arrested for allegedly kidnapping two individuals at the Margaritaville Hollywood Beach Resort in Florida. Reports indicate that the suspects subjected the victims to torture during the incident.

This unsettling situation unfolded on May 29 when one of the suspects reportedly coerced the victims, along with a witness, into attending a car show in a secluded part of Broward County, as detailed in recently unsealed court documents. The suspects, identified as Saul Alfonso Fajardo, 19, Justin Fijoan Le, 20, Amari Tamire Hill, 21, Anthony Teruel Hernandez, 18, Mariekevies McNichols Jr., 19, and Wilen Hernandez, 20, are charged with kidnapping and conspiracy to kidnap.

According to the documents, the two victims met “Saul” and a female suspect at a parking lot. Once there, the victims were allegedly forced into two different vehicles at gunpoint by several assailants.

Reports indicate that Hill violently shoved one victim into a car’s passenger seat, while Fijoan reportedly threatened, “If you try to escape, I will end your life,” instilling significant fear in the victim.

An FBI agent’s affidavit stated that all suspects were armed with a semi-automatic weapon and were wearing masks and latex gloves.

Details from the complaint reveal that Fijoan demanded money from one victim to avoid dire consequences, even instructing him to contact a friend to secure funds. The threat escalated as Fijoan allegedly warned, “If you don’t get the money, I’m going to remove one of your nails every 10 minutes.”

The victim, fearing for his safety, noticed tools in the vehicle that raised his concerns regarding the threats being made.

Upon reaching a designated location, the two victims were allegedly forced to kneel at gunpoint. They had various personal items taken from them—including phones and jewelry. One victim was reportedly compelled to transfer $400 via Zelle.

Fijoan continued the threats, taunting, “I’m going to burn your tattoo. You don’t deserve it,” while also warning them against contacting authorities, saying, “If you go to the police, they’ll kill your family. We’re not done yet.”

In a shocking turn, the suspects forced the victims to remove their underwear while continuing to demand money, with Fijoan firing shots into the air during a Facetime call to further intimidate another party.

Fearing the police could track one of the victims, who was wearing an ankle monitor, the suspects eventually abandoned him in a nearby neighborhood, where he sought help wearing only his underwear.

The other victim allegedly saw the suspects burning items at the boat dock and heard someone mention the need to “burn the evidence.” To protect himself, he feigned a seizure in a desperate attempt to escape the looming threat.

When one suspect panicked while attempting to load this victim into a car, he took his chance and fled.

Authorities have since located burnt clothing and other belongings at the dock, and messages exchanged between the female suspect and Fajardo reportedly confirm that one victim was assaulted.

One ominous message stated, “He sustained a jump injury,” followed by a request to delete their social media account.

Efforts to reach the suspects’ attorneys for comments were made.
