G7 Summit Kickoff in France

On June 15, 2026, President Donald Trump met with French President Emmanuel Macron as the G7 Summit commenced in Evian-les-Bains, France.

Trump arrived in the picturesque town and immediately engaged in a bilateral meeting with Macron.

During the meeting, Trump expressed his admiration for Macron, calling him a “special friend” and noting the “fantastic” relationship they share. I don’t know, is that maybe more important than the World Cup? To some people, it might,” he remarked, bringing laughter from Macron.
