Daniel Cormier Denies Viral Claims of Conversation with Eric Trump
Former UFC champion Daniel Cormier recently addressed a viral screenshot that suggested he had a conversation with Eric Trump. In that supposed exchange, Eric Trump was reportedly asking for information regarding fighters’ injuries and whether the upcoming UFC Freedom 250 event was predetermined. Cormier, however, insists he did not make that post.
The now-removed post allegedly included a message from Eric Trump, who reached out to Cormier asking about the outcome of a fight, inquiries about injuries, and whether the match was “fixed.” Cormier’s response, as reported in the message, dismissed any notion of match-fixing, expressing surprise that such a question would even arise.
“They’re not real,” Cormier clarified when questioned about those messages. “I can’t believe you guys believed that. Who would believe that?” he added, expressing disbelief over the reaction to the screenshot.
This exchange caught public attention, raising eyebrows about a possible cheating scandal. The message attributed to Trump read, “Just to cut to the chase… is tomorrow’s game a fix? I’m keeping an eye on the Lopez fight and I don’t think an upset is that unrealistic. $$.”
Cormier concluded the conversation by affirming that none of their events were rigged, which he found astonishing that it was even suggested. Both figures took to social media to label the posts as fake, with Cormier questioning the intelligence of those who believed them. Meanwhile, Trump characterized the situation as “totally fake,” even claiming that he had never spoken to Cormier.
Cormier maintained that his account had been hacked, and he insisted that he did not share those messages. When asked directly if he denied posting the material, he said, “I got hacked or something.” His disbelief continued as he remarked, “Who would believe that? That’s crazy.”
