Chris Stapleton and Smashing Pumpkins to Perform at July 4 Charity Concert

America’s Block Party Benefit Concert Announced

The Smashing Pumpkins and Chris Stapleton are set to perform on July 4 at America’s Block Party benefit concert taking place at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum.

Hosted by Queen Latifah, this event will benefit Feeding America, as stated by America250, the organization overseeing the concert. They’ve shared the first few artists who will perform and hinted at more to come in the near future.

The concert aims to promote Giving 4th, a national initiative encouraging Americans to incorporate giving back into their celebrations through charitable donations, as noted by America250.

Tickets will be available for $17.76, starting July 16. In a nice touch, 5,000 free tickets will be offered to service members, veterans, and first responders.

Before the concert kicks off, attendees can enjoy a pre-event Block Party Village featuring music, giveaways, and complimentary food and beverages. Doors for ticket holders will open at 3 p.m. Pacific Time, with the live concert beginning at 6 p.m.

To cap off the festivities, the show will conclude with a “fireworks and drone spectacular.”

“Playing the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum on July 4 for America’s 250th is a rare kind of moment,” commented Smashing Pumpkins drummer Jimmy Chamberlin. He emphasized the unifying power of music, noting how it brings people together and allows for meaningful expression.

Queen Latifah is eager to embrace her role as host. She expressed her excitement by stating, “Los Angeles knows how to put on a show, and hosting America’s Block Party at the LA Coliseum is going to be something special.” This, she added, is an opportunity to celebrate a significant milestone with vibrant music and a purpose that resonates beyond the stadium.
