German World Cup soccer fan Freddy receives invitation to visit the White House

Freddie’s Memorable U.S. Adventure

Freddie, a German soccer enthusiast, gained attention on social media after sharing his charming experiences in the U.S. Now, he’s set to embark on an even bigger journey here.

Nick Adams, the Special Presidential Envoy for America, Tourism, Exceptionalism, and Values under the Trump administration, confirmed to Fox News Digital that Freddie will visit the White House.

Adams mentioned that she discovered Freddie early in her travels across the U.S. and quickly became quite a fan of his.

She described Freddie’s U.S. trip as “a fantastic thing for our country.”

“Freddie represents the many visitors who come to the U.S. and experience the warmth and generosity of the American people,” Adams said in a recent phone discussion.

“There’s truly no place like America. We are loud, we are bold, and we offer limitless snacks like chips and salsa delivered right to your car by friendly young folks on roller skates,” she added.

Adams highlighted the distinct experiences found here, noting that while we are one nation, the 50 states feel almost like separate countries.

Her connection with Freddie deepened when he revealed his admiration for country music artist Ella Langley.

“I think Ella declared herself a fan of him too, which made it even better. He’s exactly the type of person you want representing America,” Adams reflected.

Freddie was invited to meet Langley at her concert Thursday night, which has been one of many surreal moments during his trip.

The German fan, along with two friends, toured the facilities of both the New Orleans Saints and New Orleans Pelicans, received a warm welcome from J.J. Watt, explored LSU and Tiger Stadium, interacted with local police, met the mayor of Houston, and even visited NASA’s International Space Station.

Adams, whose family is German, found it easy to relate to Freddie and arranged for him to see the State Department, White House, and what she described as “the most beautiful Capitol in the world” in Washington, D.C.

It’s crucial, she emphasized, to recognize someone like Freddie who is from outside America yet holds a genuine affection for it.

“We need to appreciate people who may not be American citizens, but who truly love this country. Those who feel an earnest connection to the American way of life,” Adams stated.

As America’s ambassador and secretary of tourism, she feels it’s her duty to showcase this kind of hospitality, inviting Freddie for a one-of-a-kind experience in the White House.

While she hasn’t had the chance to discuss Freddie directly with President Trump, Adams believes he will receive a warm welcome.

“I haven’t talked to the president about this yet, but he’s aware of many happenings, and I’m certain Freddie will be very welcomed,” she noted.

Freddie is among many fans experiencing their first trip to America through the World Cup. Adams is thrilled that this gives a clear view of what foreigners genuinely think about the U.S.

“No one does it like America—our friendliness, our warm welcomes, it’s unmatched,” she added.

Adams expressed satisfaction that social media enables a direct look into how people around the world feel about America, especially given the often negative portrayals seen in the news.

“We’re finally seeing the real story about America and its people,” she remarked.

She also referred to American hospitality as “the gold standard of the industry,” and she noted how the World Cup helped to challenge many stereotypes about the U.S.

“Americans are nothing like the negative images presented; we always knew that was a misrepresentation,” Adams asserted.

“Now, thanks to visitors from Japan, Germany, and beyond who came for the World Cup, we have solid proof of the kindness and warmth that truly exists here.”

“When it comes to our landscapes and offerings, we are without equal. Whatever you’re looking for, America has it,” she concluded.
