Mexican fans continue to toss World Cup reporters into the air during live broadcasts

The World Cup is Boosting Mexican Fans’ Spirits

Mexican supporters are really feeling the excitement of the World Cup. El Tri has been performing well, securing victories against South Africa and South Korea. However, something curious has been happening recently.

As reported, there have been multiple instances of fans lifting journalists into the air during live broadcasts in Mexico. One of the first instances involved Fox Sports Mexico reporter Carlos Rodrigo Hernandez, who was hoisted up at a gathering just before Mexico’s win over South Korea.

Hernandez seemed to handle the situation well, even humorously commenting, “It’s live TV for you.”

This wave of fan enthusiasm spilled over to other journalists as well. On a recent Wednesday, Sergio Enrique Hernández found himself in a similar spot, just like Italian journalist Alessio de Giuseppe while on duty at DAZN.

Supporters continued the trend at the FIFA Fan Festival in Monterrey, where ESPN’s Oscar Gallardo experienced a lively reception.

In one memorable episode, Ahmed Mohsen from Al Arabi TV was broadcasting live when a crowd joyfully surrounded him, lifted him, and even placed a sombrero atop his head, turning the moment into a spontaneous celebration.

So far, the celebrations have been joyful and light-hearted, though it’s unclear how things might escalate, considering Mexico’s strong showing in the tournament.

As it stands, Mexico has already secured its position as Group A winners, with a final group stage match against the Czech Republic looming on the horizon. After that, they will face the third-place teams from several other groups on June 30th.
