Big Tigger Arrested on Assault and Child Abuse Charges

On June 20, police took former BET “Rap City” host Big Tigger, whose real name is Darian Morgan, into custody on charges of assault and third-degree child abuse. He was later booked at the Fulton County Jail but was released the same day after posting a $10,000 bond.

According to police records, an argument took place between Big Tigger and his partner, Ms. Brown, in May. This dispute arose from text messages he received from a female colleague. Ms. Brown alleged that this conflict intensified, stating Big Tigger first tackled her and then shoved her.

Big Tigger’s child abuse charges stem from the fact that his 13-year-old son was present during this incident. Notably, the couple also welcomed another son in 2025.

Records reveal that Ms. Brown sought medical care for her injuries prior to alerting authorities. Following these events, Big Tigger issued a statement to clarify the situation to the media.

In his statement, he expressed gratitude for the support from those concerned, stating, “I want to say unequivocally that these allegations and accusations that are being spread are false.” He also emphasized that he and Francesca have never been anything more than friends and colleagues.

He urged for privacy and respect as his family navigates this challenging time, reaffirming his commitment to living up to the trust that others have placed in him.

On a more personal note, late Monday, he posted a thought-provoking message on Instagram, stating, “Life is a cruel teacher… She loves to test first and give lessons later.”
