Data Collection at World Cup Fan Zone
A company led by Brad Parscale, who is registered as a foreign agent for the Israeli government, is gathering information from soccer fans at the National Mall wishing to catch the World Cup games.
Parscale, known for his involvement in both of Donald Trump’s presidential campaigns, operates Clock Tower X. This firm has developed various websites that promote pro-Israel messages on behalf of Israel. The company’s agreement with an Israeli-backed PR agency is valued at millions, which includes $6 million allocated to SparkFire Technologies. This firm employs AI bots to advocate for Israel, aiming to “persuade people” through text, emails, and online chats.
Another of Parscale’s companies, Campaign Nucleus, is currently compiling data from fans registering for the Freedom 250 FIFA World Cup Fan Zone in Washington, D.C. This was first highlighted by The Washington Examiner.
In an attempt to learn more, The Daily Caller reached out to both Campaign Nucleus and Freedom 250 for comments. They even signed up for the event, receiving a ticket that mentioned it was “Powered By Nucleus.”
Additionally, The Daily Caller received an email from the address “@events.campaignnucleus.com.”
Interestingly, it’s uncertain if a ticket is really necessary to access the Fan Zone. One social media user claimed to have visited several times without ever signing up on the Freedom 250 site or showing a ticket.
According to a post, the user stated, “I didn’t have to sign up or get a ticket at all to watch World Cup on the national mall and I’ve been three times.”
The Freedom 250 website claims the event is open to everyone without any cost. It offers live match viewing and includes “interactive exhibits, youth programming, cultural showcases, food, music,” continuing until July 19, which is the final day of the tournament.
Campaign Nucleus utilizes AI technology to sift through large datasets to pinpoint “persuadable voters,” gauge public sentiment, craft customized email content, and amplify the influence of “anti-woke” social media personalities. During the 2024 election cycle, it is reported that the company earned over $2 million from the Trump campaign, the Republican National Committee, and other affiliated organizations by managing online registrations for rallies and sending campaign-related emails and press releases.
Parscale’s past collaborations include working with Cambridge Analytica during Trump’s 2016 campaign. This firm faced significant scrutiny after it improperly obtained Facebook data from 87 million users, which was used to develop voter profiles and target individuals during the 2016 U.S. elections and the Brexit vote in the U.K.
Currently, Parscale also serves as the chief strategy officer for Salem Media Group, a conservative media entity that owns 117 radio stations across 38 markets, along with conservative news outlets such as Townhall, RedState, Hot Air, and PJ Media.
