Ousmane Dembele, the standout forward for France, made history during the FIFA World Cup group match against Norway on June 26. He netted three goals in the first half, marking the first first-half hat trick in a World Cup since 1994, which was also the last time the tournament took place in the United States.
His wife, Lima Edbusch Dembele, promptly congratulated him on social media. Although she didn’t attend the match in person, she shared a picture of her TV screen after he scored his third goal.
The photo captures Dembele glancing down, pointing to a vein in his arm, which suggested he had ice in it. Interestingly, there was no caption—perhaps the image spoke for itself.
Usman and Rima tied the knot in December 2021, and they welcomed their daughter in 2022. While Lima tends to stay out of the limelight, she has been by his side during significant moments in his career.
It will be intriguing to see if Lima attends the 2026 World Cup, especially if France makes it past the group stages.
Regardless, it’s evident that Usman feels her support, which might, in part, fuel his impressive performances, like the one fans witnessed recently.
