Trump suggests Spencer Pratt should demonstrate against the 'unfair' LA mayoral election

Trump Supports Pratt’s Election Challenges

On Friday, President Trump expressed his support for Los Angeles mayoral candidate Spencer Pratt, who is contesting his recent primary loss.

Trump reiterated his belief that the California election process was “rigged,” enhancing claims he has been making recently.

“Spencer Pratt… he shouldn’t just go away quietly. He should protest because, in my strong opinion, it was a fraudulent election,” Trump stated during a speech at the Faith and Freedom Coalition event.

He went on to draw parallels between Pratt’s loss and what he described as Steve Hilton’s defeat in the gubernatorial race, suggesting that he had helped intervene in that situation.

“And they tried to harm Steve Hilton as well, so I called the U.S. attorney and said, ‘We’ve got to look into this,’” Trump added.

Earlier this week, Trump disclosed at a rally that he leveraged Spencer Pratt’s controversial election results to pressure California’s attorney, which he claimed aided Republican gubernatorial candidate Steve Hilton in his primary.

While Pratt finished in a close second place on Election Day, his standing fell as mail-in ballots were counted, raising suspicions about potential voter manipulation.

Trump weighed in on these concerns, attributing them to California’s notoriously slow vote-counting process, which can take weeks. He has been vocal about wanting to address mail-in voting, a method that California has notably adopted.

On Election Day, Pratt was anticipated to move forward to the runoff against incumbent Mayor Karen Bass. However, Socialist City Councilor Nithya Raman surged ahead thanks to late-counted mail-in ballots, securing a spot in the general election.

Although it seems Pratt has conceded defeat, he insists that his fight isn’t over. He released a video making strong claims, indicating that he has evidence that could potentially undermine either Bass or Raman.

“Do you think you can get rid of me that easily? I know a lot of you idiots thought I was pissed about this. If I didn’t get into City Hall, I was going to curl up and leave town,” Pratt said.
