Gang Violence in Queens: A Two-Year Struggle

Street gangs linked to the Bloods have been engaged in a violent conflict in Queens over the past two years, resulting in 11 shootings that have left three individuals injured—one of whom is now paralyzed, according to prosecutors.

Queens District Attorney Melinda Katz indicated that the violence intensified after a member of BG4 fatally shot 17-year-old Achim Cisse in September 2024. Following that incident, the Blitz Gang 4, operating primarily out of Baisley Park House in southern Jamaica, retaliated with numerous shootings and stabbings aimed at rival gangs like the McBallers, the Floss Money Ballers, and the Crips-associated 5th Clock.

In a notable development, Katz announced a sweeping 97-count indictment against the gang. One of the suspects reportedly stayed at the scene to mislead law enforcement after authorities found a recording in March that instructed a 15-year-old to kill a rival outside a McDonald’s in Cambria Heights.

Katz emphasized that “the wanton violence” between the Blitz Gang 4 and the Floss Money Ballers has created a climate of fear in the Southeast Queens area for two years, jeopardizing the safety of many innocent residents. She expressed hope for a safer summer in Queens.

Some particularly violent episodes included a shocking stabbing in broad daylight outside Queens Criminal Court in December 2025. Prosecutors reported that a group of gang members beat a rival before one of them fatally stabbed him. Another incident involved a February shooting at a Sweet 16 celebration in Queens.

This recent raid is considered the second phase of a larger initiative by the District Attorney’s office to combat gang violence in Southeast Queens. Just nine months prior, Katz’s office dismantled the Floss Money Ballers, BG4’s rival gang.

Victims of the gang violence have included individuals like a man stabbed outside the Queens Criminal Court and another man shot in the back, resulting in paralysis while inside a southern Jamaica home, as outlined by prosecutors.

Footage obtained by the Post captured a scene in a McDonald’s parking lot in March 2026, where a 19-year-old BG4 member allegedly instructed a 15-year-old to pull out a gun and either threaten a rival or use the weapon himself.

Katz recounted how “[19-year-old] Noah Thomas directed the 15-year-old to either shoot his rival or take the gun himself. Ultimately, the 15-year-old fired multiple shots at their target.”

The indictment reveals that gang members often ventured into enemy territory, seeking out rivals while occasionally boasting about their violent intentions in songs and Instagram videos.

Despite the extensive indictment, three suspects remain unaccounted for, according to the District Attorney’s office.
