Chilling Message for America’s 250th Anniversary
Seth Gruber, a pro-life advocate, has a stark warning for those celebrating the upcoming 250th anniversary of America. He suggests that to honor the nation while simultaneously engaging in actions that undermine sexual morality and promote abortion feels like “the icing on the coffin.” It’s a striking expression, perhaps designed to provoke thought about the current values in society.
During an episode of “Relatable” with Allie Beth Stuckey, Gruber voiced concerns about America’s future, asserting that the country might only have “37 more years” unless Christians rise to defend their beliefs. It’s a bold claim, to say the least.
Gruber highlights a couple of alarming points regarding America’s longevity. For instance, renowned historian Niall Ferguson noted in a 2025 interview that history usually doesn’t favor republics that reach 250 years of age. That’s worth reflecting on, I think.
- Additionally, J.D. Unwin’s study, presented in his 1934 work, “Sex and Culture,” found a strong link between sexual restraint and societal achievements across various cultures over 5,000 years.
Gruber argues that given America’s current cultural climate, which seems to celebrate sexual liberation, the nation could be on the brink of significant upheaval. He cites Unwin’s findings that societies embracing complete sexual freedom tended to collapse within 90 to 100 years. This, I suppose, feels particularly urgent as we assess our trajectory.
He identifies 1973 as a critical turning point when America welcomed “full sexual freedom,” referencing three major events: the Supreme Court’s decision in Roe v. Wade, the Miller v. California case which increased access to pornography, and the Endangered Species Act, which, interestingly, prioritizes animal rights over unborn children.
Gruber expresses concern that these developments have resulted in a “satanic trinity” influencing American culture: Molech represents child sacrifice, Ashtoreth symbolizes sexual immorality, and Baal signifies animal worship. It sounds rather dramatic, doesn’t it? But it captures his apprehension regarding America’s moral state.
He describes this situation as a sort of wake-up call for the church, hinting that a spiritual compromise entered in 1973 has paved the way for issues faced today. Gruber believes that America’s 90 to 100-year countdown began then, suggesting we might be nearing the end of an era in Western civilization. His closing remarks are certainly a call to action, offering both a sense of urgency and a sobering perspective on America’s future.
