A North Carolina woman collapsed on the floor during live television when she became the first Powerball millionaire in 2024.

“Pamela! You're a millionaire! Bradshaw falls and Seacrest announces.

After being helped to his feet by the presenter and his daughter Joanna Hinson, a startled Ms Bradshaw exclaimed: “Oh my god!”

The mother then “thanked God'' for this once-in-a-lifetime moment.

“I'm so blessed,” she said as her daughter hugged her tightly.

Seacrest said Bradshaw promised to give her daughter “a little” money and encouraged Hinson to give her a larger amount of cash.

This is the second year in a row that a North Carolina resident won $1 million on New Year's Eve. According to the North Carolina Lottery.

Bradshaw, who had never been to New York City before, won a VIP trip to the city in a second drawing through the state lottery.

She became one of five Powerball players across the country selected for a chance to win $1 million.

Not only was it the Clinton woman's first time seeing the Statue of Liberty, but it was also her first time on an airplane, according to the North Carolina Lottery.

“I cried on the plane, I cried in front of the Statue of Liberty,” she said at the lottery drawing. “It was truly incredible.”

Her VIP trip included a three-night, four-day stay in the Big Apple.

Bradshaw said she hopes to use the money to buy a house.

“I want to have my own home that is mine and that I feel secure in,” Bradshaw told the Lottery. “It's nothing fancy or big. It's a little cottage or something with one bedroom for him or two for him.”
