(WHTM) – Shipping fees for letters and packages will increase in the new year.
According to , starting January 21, 2024, the price of First Class Forever U.S. Postage stamps will increase from 66 cents to 68 cents. United States Postal Service.
The price of domestic postcard stamps will also increase by 2 cents, from 51 cents to 53 cents, and international postcards will increase from $1.50 to $1.55.
In addition to the increase in stamp prices, starting January 21, fees for postal services such as Priority Mail will also increase.
USPS Ground Advantage rates will increase by 5.4%, Priority Mail service rates will increase by 5.7%, and Priority Mail Express service rates will increase by 5.9%.
USPS Connect Local pricing remains unchanged.
“Inflationary pressures on operating expenses continue and the effects of the previous flawed pricing model are still being felt, providing the Postal Service with much-needed revenue to achieve the financial stability it seeks. These price adjustments are necessary to provide Deliver to America 10-year plan,” the Postal Service said in October.
The Postal Service says its prices “remain the most affordable in the world” and will “offer great value in delivery.”
