Former President Trump is receiving blessings from the bayou as he seeks a second term in the Oval Office.
Fox News Digital reported that House Minority Leader Steve Scalise (R-Louisiana) is supporting the leading Republican candidate, Mr. Trump, as the presidential candidate.
“When Donald Trump was president, American workers and their families prospered,” Scalise said in a statement obtained by Fox News Digital.
“The economy was strong and interest rates were low, so the cost of groceries was affordable and families could afford to buy a home and support their children,” Scalise continued. “The border was safe and crime was down. America had safe energy policies and kept gas and utility bills low.”
President Trump thanked Scalise for his support.

Donald Trump has far more support than Nikki Haley or Ron DeSantis.
He has the support of three of the top four House Republicans.

Trump has the support of three of the top four House Republicans. House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-Louisiana) and House Republican Conference Chair Elise Stefanik (R-New York) announced their support early in the primary season.
While Mr. Trump leads his opponents overwhelmingly in opinion polls, he also leads his opponents in approval ratings, boasting more than 100 supporters in the House and Senate. Scalise becomes the 94th member of Congress to endorse the nomination.
By comparison, Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-Florida) received five endorsements from Republican lawmakers, and former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley received one endorsement from Rep. Ralph Norman (R-South Carolina). I am getting . No other competitors have received Congressional approval.
