Connor Stalions makes stunning appearance at Michigan’s CFP win

Connor Stallions can't take his eyes off Michigan State football and appears to be watching the game from the stands.

The alleged mastermind behind Michigan's sign-stealing scheme was revealed in an Instagram Story posted by former Wolverines star Chase Winovich during the team's 27-20 overtime victory over Alabama in the Rose Bowl on Monday. It was revealed.

“Let's go,” Winovich said in the clip. “Connor, what are you thinking?”

The Stallions, with roses around their necks and blue Michigan hoodies, responded, “It's time.”

Winovich wrote, “Let's Go Blue!!” on top of the post while he tagged the Stallions' private Instagram account and another personal account.

While it's clear that the Stallions remain loyal to the Wolverines, some may argue that the former football analyst has turned the nation against the Wolverines.

The Stallions were exposed as the alleged masterminds of the Michigan sign-stealing scandal that ultimately led to Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh being suspended for three regular-season games amid Big Ten and NCAA investigations. He resigned in November after receiving the award.

Michigan suspended Stallions before he resigned.

The Stallions were accused of concocting an in-person sign-stealing scheme that violated NCAA rules and were under investigation on the Central Michigan sideline.

ESPN reported The Stallions reportedly purchased tickets for more than 35 games at 17 stadiums featuring future University of Michigan opponents.

“I love the University of Michigan and its football program,” Stallions told The Athletic after resigning. “And I am extremely grateful for the opportunity to work with great student-athletes, Coach Harbaugh, and the other coaches who have been part of the Michigan football family during my tenure. I don't want to get in the way of their quest for a championship, and I will continue to support them.”

Cheering on them is exactly what the Stallions did, and cameras will no doubt be looking for him at Houston's NRG Stadium when the University of Michigan takes on Washington in the national title game on Jan. 8.

The Wolverines are seeking their first national title since 1997, while the Huskies are seeking their first outright championship.

The University of Michigan opened FanDuel as a 4.5 point favorite against Washington.
