President Joe Biden plans to speak near the Revolutionary War site in Valley Forge and tour the Jan. 6 protests, a Biden campaign aide said Wednesday.
The planned speech emphasizes the president's strategy to use January 6 as a foil to distract from policy failures.
- Record invasion on the southern border
- Rising cost of living
- Instability grows in Ukraine and the Middle East
- strict pandemic orders
- deadly afghanistan withdrawal
Biden campaign official Said politiko Biden was inspired to speak at Valley Forge because it was said to mark George Washington's “rise to power” at a major turning point in the Revolutionary War..
Mr. Biden sought to draw a contrast with Washington, claiming that Mr. Trump refused to step down after the 2020 election and on January 6 “certainly supported the insurrection.”
“[Valley Forge] It was a moment [George Washington] “He was able to rally the colonial powers and mark the beginning of his rise to power before finally relinquishing power as our nation's first president,” campaign officials claimed.

Biden's speech will be a prelude to his second speech on money aimed at attracting black votes in the run-up to the November election. On Monday, he will travel to Charleston to speak at one of the oldest black churches in the South, where “nine parishioners were shot and killed by a white supremacist in 2015.” politiko report.
“We're not going to parachute into these communities at the last minute and ask for their votes. We're going to earn their votes,” said Quentin Fultz, principal deputy campaign manager.
The planned public appearance comes at a time when Biden's position within the Democratic Party is politically weak.
- WSJ: Only 23% of voters say Biden's policies have helped them.
- Fox News: 54% of Democratic primary voters want someone to replace Biden.
