Florida Democrat knocks Marjorie Taylor Greene for Jan. 6 anniversary event

Florida Rep. Anna Eskamani (D) joins Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) at an event in the Sunshine State commemorating the third anniversary of the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the U.S. Capitol. criticized the decision to attend.

“Also in Florida, the local Osceola County Republican Party is hosting a 'Memorial Day' event to commemorate January 6th, with Marjorie Taylor Greene appearing as a 'special' guest.” Eskamani posted on X, Formerly known as Twitter. “When I first saw it, I really thought this was a joke.”

“We are pleased to invite you to an exclusive event with Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene at Westgate Resorts,” the invitation reads. “As a prominent MAGA leader, Rep. Greene strongly advocates U.S. priorities over foreign interests and special lobbying efforts.”

The event will be held at Westgate Resort on Saturday from 5-8 p.m. Ticket prices range from $45 to $1,000, according to the website.

However, attendees can purchase Super VIP passes for private briefings with Ms. Greene, VIP passes for photos with enthusiastic lawmakers, and general admission to the “Celebrating Republican Women” event. You can also purchase.

Event details say super VIP members were also invited to “an exclusive private briefing on J6 and DC in a closed session.”

“This is a rare opportunity to connect with leading figures who believe in government working for the people,” the event text said. “Join us in meaningful discussions about the future of our country.”

In November, Greene published a revealing book about how she rose to fame as one of the nation's most prominent far-right politicians and an ardent supporter of former President Trump. In an interview with the Washington Examiner, Greene said she wanted people to hear her side of the story and that part of the book was “about setting the record straight.”
