B-1 bomber crashes during training mission in South Dakota; crew ejected safely

A B-1 Lancer bomber from Ellsworth Air Force Base, South Dakota, crashed Thursday afternoon during a training mission, according to a news release from the base.

The plane was attempting to land at the facility when it crashed around 5:50 p.m.

According to the base, four crew members were on board in the incident, and all four escaped safely. No further details regarding their condition have been released.
