On Thursday, Gov. Greg Abbott (R-Texas) spoke on Fox Business Network's “Varney & Co.,” a blue state town that has criticized the state's efforts to funnel illegal immigrants into so-called sanctuary cities and states. He criticized the hypocrisy of the governor and mayor. .
“Some of the mayors of America's big sanctuary cities are blaming what's going on and blaming the migrants heading to their cities,” FBN host Stuart Barney said. Ta. “I know you're laughing, but would you like to respond?”
“Yes, I mean, they should be ashamed because it's total hypocrisy,” Mr Abbott replied. “For everyone, and for one, these mayors are all mayors of sanctuary cities. And they say, 'Oh, bring in the immigrants.' And we sent them immigrants. And now they're complaining about it. It shows they are hypocrites. This shows that the Democratic Party is truly the party against illegal immigration, except when limited to states like Texas. ”
“What we're doing is saying that small Texas towns like Del Rio and Eagle Pass don't have the capacity to deal with illegal immigration,” he continued. “And that's exactly why we had to send them to places like New York and Chicago. And it's amazing that these mayors are blaming me and not the president of the United States. Because the president of the United States is in charge.'' Just as President Trump was able to solve the problem, so too was he empowered to solve the problem. ”
