Sadie Robertson Huff Encourages Young People to ‘Stay Steadfast’ on Scripture

Author and podcast host Sadie Roberston Hough challenged the thousands of teens and young adults in attendance to stay true to God's Word and share the gospel. The 2024 Passion Conference has begun.

“Why are you afraid to share the most amazing story known to humanity, one that will change the lives of those who encounter it?” asked the people gathered at the stadium.

“This is the best gift you can give to anyone who shares this news with you. They are going to face a lot of trouble. Some of you may be wondering, 'How do we know God is real?' think. God, prove You are real through everything that is happening in my life. God, if you're real, I'll get that job. If you are real, meet my spouse. If you are genuine, everything will be fine. ” But the proof that God is real is not when things are good and perfect. It is usually in difficult situations that the evidence of God's faithfulness becomes very real to you. ”

“A lot of bad things are happening,” she added. “Sure, it's scary. But as for me and my house, I will serve the Lord. This story will not be lost on my watch. Don't make it your own. Don't tell your family about it.” Don't let it be lost. Don't let it be lost to this generation. When everyone turns to other gods, and when they actually are, you will know the one true God. Resolute. Please keep it that way.”

In the first half of her message, Huff described the struggle she had years ago when someone sent her a letter saying, “Dear Sadie Robertson.” “How do you know God is real?” she asked, and she demanded “just practical answers.” After talking to Her Passion founder Louis Giglio about this, he told her, “It's because of the Bible.” Giglio's response prompted her to examine the Bible more personally. More than just text, it sheds light on her relationship with God.

“When Josiah read the Word for himself, it changed him,” she said, referring to the story of King Josiah, who became king at the age of eight and then discovered the Book of the Law at the age of 26. he said.

“I literally have the Word on my phone, so I know that the Word is not lost in modern times. I have the Word, and here we all have the Bible. But I wonder, even though we have the Word and technically it is not lost, has the Word been lost on us? Has the value, the power, the weight of this story been lost on us?”

according to christian post, Hough also used an analogy of sports fans' beliefs about their favorite athletes, such as Michael Jordan, to explain how personal experience and knowledge supports true beliefs. She argued that knowing that God is real comes from understanding the Bible and how it changes lives.

“God might actually show up and prove it to us,” Hough said. “He can bring fire from the sky right now, and we're like, 'Oh, he's real.'” He enlightens our eyes to see the angels around us. We can see it and think, “It's totally real.'' But I love that in Josiah's time no angel appeared before him. Although God did so, it did not mean that fire fell from the sky. He could do it. He was perfectly capable and able, but the discovery of the Word changed everything. That was all they needed to know. How do we know God is real? Because we know the story. And because that story changed me. ”
